Stage 1 (CP) is a dual stage filter with highly activated coconut carbon block and a melt blown Poly sediment filter (no binders/adhesives used).

Stage 2 (RO) this is the Reverse Osmosis membrane with 0.0001 micron filtration.

Stage 3 (CT) this is a highly activated coconut carbon block with 0.5 micron accuracy.

Does reverse osmosis remove minerals from water?

Yes. Reverse osmosis removes up to 99% of dissolved solids, including both harmful contaminants and beneficial minerals such as calcium and magnesium. That’s why a quality remineralisation stage is important for long-term drinking water quality.

Is RO water safe to drink long-term without remineralisation?

While RO water is extremely pure, long-term consumption of de-mineralised water is not ideal. Adding minerals back helps support:

  • Proper hydration
  • Electrolyte balance
  • Natural taste

The RO Mineral + accurately restores key minerals after filtration. Increases pH to Alkaline.

How often does the RO Mineral + cartridges need replacing?

Stage 1 and 3 are around 12months and stage 2 (RO membrane) around 24months. This does depend on daily use, the system had a digital flow meter to monitor filter life.

Can children and pregnant women drink remineralised RO water?

Yes. Remineralised RO water is safe for the whole family, including children and pregnant women, as it provides essential minerals while removing harmful contaminants.

Does this system require any power?

Yes but it does not require a constant power supply. The system has an internal battery that charges via USB C and each charge lasts around 8 months. This function monitors the water quality, filter life and auto-flushing for the RO filter.

Is this system good for NZ water?

Yes, very good. It removes all common contaminants found in NZ water supply. We continue to routinely lab test (Hill Labs) actual NZ tap water to support and ensure our systems do what they say.
