How often do I need to change the filters?

The UFX3 has 3 filter cartridges, the first filter cartridge needs to be changed every 6months and the other two is every 12months. We send reminders or offer an auto-delivered option.

Can I install it myself?
You can, the UFX3 comes with everything you need to install, many customers prefer a plumber. We’re happy to recommend an installer if needed.

Does it affect water pressure?

Yes, this is why the UFX3 comes with a dedicated tap, the higher the filtration the slower the flow.

What is a Reverse Osmosis (RO) water filtration system?

Does reverse osmosis remove microplastics?

Does it remove chlorine?

Does this remove bacteria and viruses?

How is this different from a standard water filter?

Does the Reverse Osmosis Mineral+ require electricity?

No. Unlike many reverse osmosis water filtration systems, the Hydrate Reverse Osmosis Mineral+ does not require mains electricity to produce purified drinking water. It features a built-in smart TDS display powered by a rechargeable USB battery, which typically lasts up to 8 months on a single charge. This means lower running costs, greater installation flexibility, and easy monitoring of your water quality.

How often do the filters need replacing?

The PreFilter & Remineralisation Filter (stages 1&3) last around 12months depending on your household's water quality and usage. The reverse osmosis membrane (stage2) typically lasts between 2 years.

Can I use the bottle with river or tank water?

How long does the filter last?

We recommend replacing your filter every 2 months with regular use. If you’re only using it occasionally (like the Adventure Filter for a camping trip), you can remove it, store it somewhere dry, and extend its lifespan.
